Green Earth LLC was proud to be a Supporter Sponsor of West Fight On 2026, the signature fundraising event for West Cancer Foundation. The event was held September 12, 2026, at Shelby Farms Park, and West Cancer Foundation calls it Memphis' largest cancer survivor celebration. On October 27, West Cancer Foundation hosted its West Fight On VIP Party at The Overland in Germantown for sponsors and supporters, and we were glad to be there to celebrate another great year.
We do not usually write about ourselves on this blog. We are a landscaping and irrigation company, and most of what we share is about lawns, sprinklers and outdoor spaces. But some things matter more than any yard, and helping neighbors who are facing cancer is one of them.
What Is West Fight On?
West Fight On is now in its 14th year. According to West Cancer Foundation, the event has raised over $3 million to provide free cancer services to more than 24,000 individuals and families. What started as a cycling event has grown into a day for everyone. This year's event included 20, 40 and 60 mile cycling routes, a 5K run and walk, and a one mile tribute walk, along with a Survivor Ceremony and a family-friendly Celebration Village with food and music.

About West Cancer Foundation
West Cancer Foundation is a Memphis-based nonprofit founded in 2020. It provides free cancer services to patients regardless of where they are being treated, and its work covers patient support, early detection and education, and community-based research.
Some of the free programs West Cancer Foundation offers include:
- Transportation: free rides to and from treatment and medical appointments for patients who lack reliable transportation.
- Breast cancer screenings: screenings and education paid for through grant funds and donations.
- Mental health counseling: free one-on-one counseling with licensed therapists for patients and caregivers, in person or by telehealth.
- Wigs: wigs for cancer patients through the Sweet Wig Beauty Boutique.
- Post-mastectomy and lymphedema assistance: help with breast prostheses, mastectomy bras and compression garments for patients in financial need.

Why This Matters to Us
Green Earth has served the Greater Memphis area since 2012. For over a decade, our crews have worked in yards across Memphis, Germantown, Collierville and the surrounding communities. The people we serve are our neighbors, and cancer touches far too many of them.
We believe a local business should show up for the community that supports it. Sponsoring West Fight On was a simple way to do that. Funds raised through West Fight On help someone get a ride to treatment, a screening that could catch cancer early, or support for a caregiver who needs it.
